My goal is to help families that are falsely accused of child abuse or neglect. Too many young parents are targets of the child welfare system - sometimes falsely accused by crazy neighbors or jealous ex-friends, misunderstood by school teachers, or occasionally victims of inaccurate diagnosis on the part of emergency room doctors.
If they know nothing of the legal system, they're helpless against social workers that are given legal training to remove children from their families either temporarily or permanently.
Fight CPS attempts to balance out the situation by giving parents a few legal tools to be able to present their side of a child welfare case in juvenile court. Sad to say, this is more help than most county-paid defense lawyers are willing to offer.
The site has had an ongoing blog for more than five years, and has an active message board where questions can be answered and new understanding friends found.
